Let’s look at laws here. And I don’t mean laws written by governments or people, I mean universal laws like the law of gravity. Alongside the law of gravity, there is a law I call ‘the law of latency’. Latency is the delay between the action you take and the result you get. It is a bit like when you put your foot on to the pedal of a car and you press it down; it takes a few milliseconds for all the cables to convey the electric signal, the petrol to pour into the engine and to ignite before the car moves forward. This is the same with the actions that we take. You can take the same actions again and again, but the results might not show straight away.
The amount of latency (delay in results) depends on where those actions within you are coming from. If you are taking your actions from a place of trying to force things, grinding your teeth or working harder, you will come across to everyone as someone difficult to deal with and tiring. Whereas if you take those actions from a place of fun, aliveness and enjoyment, you are going to find people much more interested and inspired to work with you.
The challenge is, of course, that as you begin to be this inspiring way, the world doesn’t reflect that straight away. You will hear people say. “No, I’m not interested.” or “No, I don’t want that”. And you'll hear things like this again and again. So, if you want to create what you want in your life fast, simply be empowered, be inspiring and be in a way that will cause people to want to speak to you. Smile, put energy into what you do, and most of all, enjoy this moment now. The art is to keep being in such ways regardless of circumstances and you will start noticing the results.
If you take this on, you will find that people will want to work with you. If you want to create those things and have your life as you want it fast, it is all about how you are being.
