I want to share with you an absolutely incredible experience I had recently.
I got to hear Prem Rawat speak at the Brighton Centre last weekend and I've got to say, the man is absolutely extraordinary at articulating the idea of ‘being present' and 'bringing light,' which is, as he calls it, the cure to darkness. Prem Rawat has a way of speaking that leaves you completely transfixed and very powerfully returning to who you truly are. Hearing him speak is absolutely inspirational.
In particular, there were three things that he said that moved me so much that I wanted to tell you about them.
1. Where there is appreciation, there is no greed:
The way he spoke of this insight really summed it up beautifully, that where there is appreciation, there really is no greed.
Currently, in the world, we have so many ‘imbalances' as you could call them. We've got a lot of people who are very much focused on profit over the well-being of the world and who are involved in companies investing in practices such as fracking and all sorts of other things that are so damaging to our environment that is also a real threat to our health.
If we were to choose a state of appreciation, we would simply give up investing in such practices.
The thing I'm definitely taking from this is just to practice being in appreciation more often and to see the great things in this very moment. Because when I'm in appreciation, I don't feel I have to be somewhere else or get ‘something' or have ‘more.' Instead, I can simply bathe in the enjoyment of being in this present moment. I suggest you take this on, be in appreciation because when you're there, you'll free yourself from greed and all its intense desires.
2. Find your gift and pursue it no end:
This was the other thing Prem Rawat said that moved me. He went on to say. “I found my gift at the age of four." Of course, his gift was and is being a speaker of peace. It's been over 45 or even 50 years that he's been travelling the world speaking and promoting peace.
As a result, Prem Rawat has now been announced officially as an international ambassador for peace, which is absolutely amazing.
This concept applies to you, to me, and to everyone else. He said. “All of you have a gift. Whatever it takes. Find that gift and pursue it no end.” Certainly, I've discovered my gift is to inspire others and to be a transformational coach who empowers people to go forward and create and live lives they love, especially for entrepreneurs and leaders, and people that really want to live extraordinary lifestyles and inspire other people to then go forth and do the same.
3. Make every single moment count:
He went on to say. "This is the ultimate strategy to life, to make every moment count." I couldn't agree with him more. Although a lot of my work is about creating the future, living into the future and the inspiration of the future coming to us, the art is to fundamentally experience this ‘now,' in the present moment, as this is all we ever have.
One of my key distinctions is ‘lifestyle satisfaction’, which is a synergetic balance between a commitment to creating an outcome or a goal that is inspiring and a commitment to seeing the quality in this present moment and to enjoy it. That it's when we have these two commitments in balance that we then have lifestyle satisfaction. Fundamentally that's what Prem Rawat is saying here. That it's all about making every single moment count.
Prem Rawat has a Youtube Channel called Words of Peace which is a fabulous way to hear him speak how ever I highly suggest you look at watching ‘Prem Rawat the keys’. They are only £12.50 and you can buy them on a data stick. You can commit to watching them when it suits you, around your own routine and in a way that serves you. These 'keys' (videos) will guide you back to a sense of being present and being in the ‘now’ as Eckhart Tolle speaks about. It's an amazing avenue and it’s only £12.50 so go for it.
Alternatively, go and see him at any of his events and talks, go research and find out where he's speaking next. Tickets are around £25, and you will not be disappointed. Absolutely incredible experience to be in his presence and to hear him speak.
So go check out Prem Rawat!
